B. Essence Lotion Review

B. Essence Lotion Review

If you’ve been in a Superdrug then you would have probably come across B skincare a few times. I love B skincare and I would very curious to try this essence lotion after my introduction to essences this year.

Essence Lotion is a lightweight soothing essence lotion that promises to replenish skin with intense moisture. It’s formulated with Hyaluronic acid, Allantonin and Algae Extract for hydration, soothing and protection

Experience

I have added the B. Essence Lotion to my AM and PM routines for the last month and a half and I honestly enjoyed using it (I need to repurchase soon). After my failed introduction to essence this year (The BodyShop Drops of Light Essence Lotion) I wasn’t expecting too much from this as it’s much cheaper than the one I used. I was pleasantly proved wrong.

The scent is fresh and the texture is a very light watery serum/toner. I use this after my toner in the AM and PM to add hydration to my skin. Its light and sinks into the skin very quickly. It doesn’t leave an oily residue begin and it doesn’t clog pores. It dries fairly quickly (most times I just pat it into my skin till it’s all ‘in’). It doesn’t feel sticky, maybe somewhat tacky after drying. It layers really well with serums and creams, I don’t get any piling.

In terms of adding hydration this is very good for that! In combo with my morning serum, I get enough hydration to last the day without my skin feelings dry or tight. I have loved through throughout the colder months and it’s been such a good addition to my routine. I use a few drops over my face and neck. It’s soothing too and I especially love using this after an acid peel (TO 30% AHA/BHA) and derma planning

Verdict

If you love essences or looking to add more hydration in the colder months be sure to check this out! It’s a lovely light hydrating essence that packs a punch! I need to repurchase soon.

B.Essence Lotion is £ 6.99 at Superdrug

PS- why are they actually called essence lotions? They are super watery and light. Maybe Essence waters?
