Is Fenty Beauty worth it?

It’s been a beautiful 3 years since Fenty Beauty and with every new release, the hype gets bigger and bigger. My girl AJ at ModebyTaylor asked me whether Fenty was worth the hype and I screamed YES! If you haven’t tried Fenty yet, here are my favourite products from them

Fenty Pro Filtr Foundation– RiRi blessed us with two foundation formulas, the original soft matte and a hydrating foundation. I have the original one and I really want the hydrating finish. Is this foundation worth it? Yes! It’s got shades (50), it’s got undertones plus the texture and finish are top-notch. This is a soft matte finish so I don’t find it extremely matte and it feels so lightweight on the skin. There is some talk of whether this oxides when dry. I don’t think it does but it does dry slightly darker. It feels so light on the skin and has a skin-like finish. I have the shade 430. I have swatched it alongside some of my other foundations

Concealer– do you know how much I love this concealer? I have 2 similar shades in it lol. I got 430 because it’s supposed to match my foundation but I wanted to get something brighter so I went for 400 too. They are quite similar tbh I could just go with 400. But why do I like this? The undertone. I love warm yellow/golden undertones and this undertone is perfect. The texture? It’s creamy, it’s thick, its medium coverage but buildable without been cakey. All concealers crease a little bit on me so this is no different but I really really REALLY like this. I have swatched some other concealers next to it

Matchsticks Trio in Deep- do you remember when Fenty first launched and we all found out that these were magnetic! Lol. These matchsticks are great for multi-use because they can be used for concealing, contouring, highlighting or blush. I really like mine for contouring and that works very well. Do you know they have released two darker shades? (come through shade range). I find it too matte to highlight underneath my eyes. I am slowing getting into cream highlighters so whilst I don’t use that shade much I do think its very pretty.

Killawatt highlighters- we all remember Trophy wife? We all do don’t lie. Whilst I have that shade tbh I don’t use it as much, it’s too intense but the other shades? I have picked Hustla baby, Afternoon snack and Mo Hunny which I absolutely love on my skin tone. I also have Penny4UTHOTS which I also love. There are two more shades I want: Ruby Richez and Ginger Binge and Moscow Mule. These are finely milled and blend easily on the skin. The duo always features a softer and more intense shade to mix and match. A few shades can also be used as blushes. They are pigmented and well worth it.

Bronzer- do you understand my excitement for these bronzers like seriously? I picked up Mocha Mami as soon as it came to the UK. It’s rich, it’s red but it gives so much warmth to the face. Its pigmented so you only need to dip once

Primer– the original primer doesn’t leave the skin too matte. I like using it with the Fenty foundation. They have a mini version of this and I really think it works well with the foundation.

Gloss bomb– I got the mini version in a set with the Hustla baby highlighter. I’ve literally only started getting into gloss (I know I’m late). It hasn’t got a lot of colour but is a lovely gloss if you love lipgloss.

Fenty setting spray- ok so this I got last month for my birthday and I haven’t used it but damn it its great ok? Lol. I love all setting sprays but the ones that give dewy/luminous finish are my favourites. This promises that and yes I haven’t used it because I haven’t worn makeup for a while but I love it ok? Simple

So is Fenty Beauty worth the hype? YES! They have the shades, they have the undertones, they have lipsticks, gloss, eyeshadows, body makeup etc etc. it’s a high-end brand but the prices are very competitive. If you can only get one item, you have to try the foundation. For 3 items go for foundation, matchsticks and bronzer. Another product worth getting is the setting powder- I find it quite matte so I mix it with another shade. The powder can be used undereye and all over the face and the shades are excellent. They also have mini sizes. It doesn’t have flashback

I have a few more of their products but these are my favourites. I haven’t tried everything and yes I do think some items are just ok as with every brand but I do think it’s worth it, whether it was RiRi or not.

Fenty Beauty is available in the UK via Harvey Nichols and Boots
