Murad AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser Review

If you love luxury skincare then this post is something to pay attention to. Murad skincare is a luxury skincare brand with a full range of skincare products. I have tried a few of their stuff and liked most of them- my fav item was the Murad Hydrodynamic Moisturiser but after this cleanser, it has a contender.

The AHA BHA cleanser has glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acids, jojoba beads for gentle exfoliation and Sodium PCA for retaining moisture. It promises a smoother, brighter complexion and it’s formulated for most skin types except sensitive.

Experience

I got this cleanser in my advent calendar last year.  I have the travel size which lasted about 2 weeks, using every morning and sometimes at night. I did not experience any irritation with it.

The cleanser produces a gentle lather and the jojoba beads in the cleanser are very gentle on the skin. I use a fair amount over wet skin (sometimes dry skin) over my neck and face. The Murad Exfoliating cleanser is amazing! It leaves my skin smooth and clean without stripping my face. Even with the blend of acids, this wash does not sting my face. I started using this cleanser at a time where my skin was playing up. I had a bit of texture and my skin was generally looking quite dull. I noticed a smoother-looking complexion from first use and continual use got rid of it and left it looking healthier. I did try triple cleansing with this a few times, and my skin did feel dry afterwards but I am not surprised.

Verdict

As far as luxury cleansers go, this now is a firm favourite (Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is still a fav but this wins hands down). The exfoliating beads are gentle and the cleanser is mild enough to be used daily or twice a day without stripping your skin. It has improved the texture and appearance of my skin.

Don’t forget SPF especially with this cleanser as it has acids in it. The travel size is not available but you can purchase the full size from Debenhams
