Beauty Pie Japan Fusion Hydra Prep Lotion

beauty pie japan fusion review

Hey guys, I hope all is well. I have another update in my Beauty Pie challenge! We are in the second and final month and so far so good! I have picked up new products and I will be sharing my updated routine soon.

Last week I reviewed the Japan Fusion Pure Transforming Cleanser which I loved so much I finished it within 20 days! Today’s post will be a full review on the Hydra Prep Lotion, also part of the Japan Fusion range.

The Japan Fusion Hydra Prep Lotion is a skin soothing moisture accelerator formulated with vitamin C and Grape polyphenols. It promises to soften, balance and hydrate and ‘turbo charge’ all products layers on it.

Experience

This is essentially an essence lotion which I use every morning and night after toning. It has the same delicate and pleasant scent as the cleanser and a watery consistency. The essence sinks into the sinks with ease and doesn’t leave it tacky/sticky. No residue. I have not experienced any irritation with it.

The Hydra Prep lotion is an antioxidant powerhouse with vitamin C and grape polyphenols(natural antioxidants in grapes). I LOVE this essence. I find it very soothing and softening: I love layering this on! It works well under serums and cream without piling.

Verdict

There really is not much to say other than I love this essence. If you like essences in your routine this is worth trying. It’s gentle, soothing, hydrating and sinks into the skin easily. It’s not a clear liquid but it adds no colour on the skin. It is something I will repurchase (it is currently out of stock 😦 )

The lotion comes alone or as a duo with the cleanser. I recommend the duo because they work extremely well together and you save a bit of allowance when you purchase them together, i.e. if you wanted to try both. Whilst I think the retail price is high (£25) I know other luxury essences start at £30

Beauty Pie Japan Fusion Hydra Prep Lotion is £6 for members on Beauty Pie*
