Burt’s Bees Lip balms review

Burt’s Bees Lip balms are some of UK’s favourite lip balms! I’m a huge fan too of those yellow tubes and they are really some of the best lip balms I have used.

Burt’s Bees lip balms are 100% natural and infused with ingredients like beeswax and made without parabens, phthalates and petroleum. The lip balms also come in a variety of flavours! I received a winter lip care package and it had

Lip Balms

I said earlier that I am a huge fan of Burt’s Bees lip balms and it’s because they actually moisturise and repair the chapped lip balms! They don’t sit on top of dead skin like some lip balms but they actually penetrate and moisturise. They don’t leave a ‘shiny’ finish like a gloss which is also much appreciated. The Cucumber Mint Lip balm has a subtle cucumber mint scent and the same great formula as all the lip balms. It doesn’t tingle but there is a very slight sensation and goes on smoothly. Out of the two I received, I love the Chai Tea Lip balm more, I love the scent and I find it slightly more moisturising. The twist up lip balms is very easy to use.

Conditioning Lip Scrub

The lip scrub promises to gently exfoliate the lips with oils and honey crystals to leave it moisturised and prepped for other lip care products. The scrub is very gentle but I would have preferred something with a bit more grit. I agree it leaves my lips very soft and moisturised but I wish it has a bit more grit to leave it smoother too. It doesn’t necessarily get rid of dead skin cells straight away but I feel like because it softens the lips, I can use a toothbrush afters or even my finger to get rid of it.

Overnight Intensive Lip treatment

This is by far most favourite product out of the bunch. It’s formulated with ceramides which help with retain moisture and I can definitely notice a difference in the morning! I use this when I have chapped lips and when I can’t ‘push’ the stubborn dead skin off, using this at night helps soften it and in the morning my lips feel so soft and smooth and much easier to exfoliate!

I felt the most difference with this lip treatment, again with the same great formula as the lip balms, the lip treatment penetrates the lips and doesn’t have a shiny finish. It isn’t sticky. I will 100% recommend this. I have even used this in the morning and it provided all day lasting moisture to the lips.

Verdict

If you haven’t tried a Burt’s Bees Lip balm what are you waiting for? Good for the environment and lips and the formula is one of the best on the market. I wish the scrub has a bit more grit but I absolutely love the lip treatment and chai tea lip balm.
