KIKO Makeup Brushes Review

I love KIKO for one main reason- nail polishes! They are always on sale and they have lots of colors and good quality! KIKO nail polishes make up the bulk of my nail collection! I have always wanted to try some other stuff from KIKO so I always pop into a KIKO store when I’m in Central London. And on one of those occasional pop-ins, I saw they had a huge sale on their makeup brushes and some of their foundations (although now that I think of it, they always have a sale on in store). I picked up two makeup brushes (on two separate occasions) and a foundation which all together probably cost me less than £15! Their sales are very GOOD.

So I have been using these brushes for about 2-3 months now and I thought I would share my thoughts on them, in case you were thinking of trying out their brushes too. I picked up the Face 107 & Face 106 makeup brushes

Face 107

KIKO Makeup Brushes Review

I can’t find this brush on the KIKO UK/EUR website (but it’s still available on KIKO US) so it’s probably been discontinued. KIKO describes it as a concave shaped brush perfect for mousse, fluid or compact foundations and it’s made of different synthetic hair. I love the all black handles- makes them look more expensive and it stands out in my brush collection.

This was the 1st of the two brushes I picked up from KIKO and so far so good! I have had no shedding from the brush when washing and the handle is still intact. The bristles are so soft and the brush blends foundation like a dream. It works better for stippling on foundation in smaller sections and working it into the skin vs buffing it into the skin in circular motions. It doesn’t sheer out foundation.

It’s a small brush with a smaller surface area so it lends best to work in small sections at a time. it’s excellent for liquid or slightly thicker foundation formulas which is what I have used the brush for.

Face 106

KIKO describe the brush as a round foundation brush but it’s really a duo fiber brush. I picked this brush a bit later than the Face 107 but I still love it the same. I love it for applying very liquidy foundations but even more for blending out foundations after applying it with a kabuki brush or the Face 107. It gives a very natural effect and very good for blending! The bristles are very soft too.

The flat top medium size brush allows me to work quickly over large areas to blend out foundation. I have also had no shedding so far from this brush. It works well for buffing foundations in circular motions into the skin. I have only used this for liquid foundations which is what I recommend it for. I’m not sure on how it will perform with thick creamy or powder foundation formulas.

KIKO Makeup Brushes Review

These brushes from KIKO are very good quality at an excellent price point! I would love to pick up some more brushes from them. The Face 106 brush is still available in the UK and still on sale for just £4.40! Pick it up if you have a chance!

They are also offering 30% off their Smart Brush range which is worth checking out and Mascaras from £3.90. You can shop online or go to their store in Central London ( P.S- the one off Oxford Street just on Regent Street is much better than the one on Oxford Street close to the Primark towards Tottenham Court Road. But you didn’t hear that from me lol)
