Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day and Night Cream Review

The Boots Botanics brand have some really effective products at bargain prices! Check out why I think their Micellar water is the best drugstore micellar water out there in my full review here. I have been using the Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day & Night Cream for a few months now and so I thought I would bring you guys a full review, in case you were thinking about trying these for yourself.

Product claims

Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF 15- Boots promise all day hydration and UVA/UVB protection with SPF 15. The cream has been formulated with hyaluronic acid ( read all about that here) to boost moisture levels and improve skin’s texture. Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Night cream is a rich nighttime moisturiser which works to promote surface renewal for brighter skin by the morning. Both creams have been formulated with hyaluronic acid for moisture, natural AHA from the Hibiscus flower which acts as mild exfoliators to leave the skin smoother and brighter

Experience

So I have been using this combo for the last 2 to 4 months and I must admit I have enjoyed using them- I’m almost out of my day cream because I dropped it and because it’s so liquidy most of it came out smh. The day cream has a lotion consistency and feels very lightweight on the skin. I found it absorbs quickly and provides light hydration for my skin type. (I have normal to combo skin). It leaves my skin very soft and moisturised throughout the day. Because it provides light hydration, I layer it on twice to get the amount of moisture I like. It’s not oily and doesn’t feel greasy and it doesn’t clog pores in my opinion. I like that it has SPF 15 added but I always layer my SPF 50 on top of it.

The All Bright Hydrating Night cream has a richer and thicker texture than the day cream but what you would expect in a night cream. I like it because I don’t have to layer it on as a small amount provides enough hydration for the night. Like the day cream, it sinks very quickly into the skin and doesn’t feel oily/greasy. No breakouts or irritation with the night cream too.

Verdict

In terms of brightening my skin, I haven’t noticed any difference with these products which I am not too fused on anyway. They say the product has natural AHA’s from the Hibiscus flower but it doesn’t say the content of AHA in the creams. I guess it’s very low because I haven’t seen a major difference in my skin but for the hydration claims its very good.

Will I recommend these creams? Yes for the price you pay, I think they perform really well, but you may be disappointed if you are getting it for its AHA content or brightening claims ( I recommend you spend a little bit more and get something with 5% or more). I think this is a good product from Boots at an excellent price point and it’s almost always on offer

Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day and Night Cream are £2.50 each and currently buy one get one free in Boots
