FIRST LOOK: MON SHEA- THE NATURAL ALTERNATIVE

main

Hey family! I hope everyone is doing great so far. As promised this post will be an introduction to a vendor I met at the WITJ event (See my event cover for it here > http://wp.me/p1uQOd-wx ) and some of her products she sent to me. Let’s get started!

A bit about the company

MON SHEA offers 100% natural skin and hair care products using natural products such as organic unrefined Shea butter in their shea butter soap and authentic African black soap in their liquid black soap wash. These natural products are a great alternative to people with problematic skin and people looking for natural alternatives. If you’re a shea butter fanatic like me, you will find everything you need in this collection.

So the full collection is as follows

The MON SHEA black soap collection is made from roasted cacao pods, palm oil and Shea butter with coconut oils. All black soap fans know this is an excellent and very versatile product that can be used to cleanse both the skin and the hair. I personally LOVE the smell of black soap (although some people are on the fence on this) and I am sure this collection will not disappoint.

The MON SHEA shea butter collection is an exciting one to me. I was very interested in the soap as in all my fanaticness (it’s not a word yet, lool) I haven’t come across a shea soap yet (Does this mean I need to up my game?). Anyway it’s made from skin loving ingredients e.g. organic shea butter, plant oils, vitamins and minerals! I can’t wait to use it. I chose this because I really wanted to try this. I plan on using it for cleanse my hair and my face (since the heat is going to make me break out more often). UPDATE- I have used the soap for my hair and it did a great job of cleansing it! The ease of use is ridiculously amazing! Y’all didn’t tell me about bars for washing for hair! It does have lye (sodium hydroxide) in it because it lathers but it’s not something you should be afraid off, its soap after all, soap is not soap without lye. It didn’t leave my hair dry infact as soon as I used it I could feel curl clumping and to me it’s a good thing it means my hair is moisturised. Honestly you NEED to try this!

I also chose the SHEA OIL. Don’t you hate when you have to heat up shea butter in your hands by rubbing? Or if you’re like me, I use a blow dryer to melt some so it makes it easier to apply lol. I chose this because of the ease of use it will give me! Even though it came a bit solidified, I can still pump some product out and instant oil! It melts so easily! These products couldn’t have come at a much better time since I am on a quest to improve my complexion!

At the event, I was able to record a demo of Monigho (owner) using the PURE SHEA OIL on a customer. Check it out below:

Overall this seems like a really good collection! I love the products I chose and I can’t wait to use them and share you with the results. I also love the versatility of the products and the natural ingredients. This can only mean one thing: it’s great for the skin and hair! I will be doing a  full review after I have used the products for a while but that should not be long as I will probably be using them EVERYDAY so expect it sooner than later!

Please, please check out their website for more information, read customer testimonials, to purchase or just to say hi! I will provide their link below

That’s all folks for now! I hope you enjoyed this post and please subscribe if you do. Here’s a link to the website > http://monsheabutter.co.uk/ .
