Hihi all, I hope all is well. Today I have new post on the African Pride pre poo – the viral pre poo in the natural hair community!

Product Details

This moisturizing and detangling blend uses the natural benefits of Aloe Vera and Coconut Water to condition, protect and remove tangles from natural coils and curls; leaving hair soft and easy to manage during cleansing and styling.

Experience

This product is very popular in the natural hair community on YT but I only discovered this in March. I was using an oil for pre pooing but wanted something with a bit more slip. I purchased mine from Kiyo Beauty . I’ve been using this for the last 2 months as a pre poo and I have had no irritation with it.

The pre poo smells great, like coconuts and has a jelly like texture. The main ingredients are aloe and coconut water both known for hydrating and conditioning dry hair.

Does it work? YES! this product has so much slip and makes finger detangling a BREEZE. Its so hydrating and works very well to condition the hair before washing. This is my hair when I first applied the pre poo. Look at my curls !!

Because of the slip it provides, it really helps to reduce the amount of breakage when finger detangling. You can see in the pic below, the amount of hair lost during the prepoo stage is less on 27 March when I first used the product compared with the previous wash days when I was using a hair oil

Verdict

I’ve been using this pre poo since March and I’ve been impressed with it from first use! You don’t even need a lot of it because it provides so much slip from little product. I have 4c hair and I prefer to pre poo to add as much hydration as possible and this product is great. I highly recommend checking it out if you have just been using a oil for prepoo and want to try something new. It’s inexpensive so its a risk free try. I will buy it again

worth the hype!
