hihi, I hope all is well. Today I’m sharing some of the best makeup removers I have tried. These are my tried , tested and true makeup removers and I have repurchase each of them and they have not failed each time.
Gone are the days of makeup wipes, sis throw them out. They simply do not remove makeup effectively and gave a false sense of security- most people I know dont even follow up with a 2nd cleanse too. sigh. Micellar water is great and there was a time where I tried almost every in Superdrug/Boots but I still pick balm cleansers over micellar water.
I prefer to remove my makeup balms/oils with a makeup remover cloth after emulsifying but this is not necessary. You can simply rinse off and go in with your 2nd cleanse.
- Eve Lom Oil Cleansing capsules, you can read my full review here. These are so great for travelling and 1 of 2 oil cleansers I love.
- Tatcha Cleansing Oil– This silkly lightweight cleansing oil is excellent against waterproof mascara! This is a great cleanser too for makeup/SPF and emulsifies really well. Zero residue left.
- Beauty Pie Japan Fusion– When I was a BP member I used to bulk buy these. They are so lightweight and remove every last trace of makeup! BP have a few good makeup removers but this was it for me. My full review is here
- Farmacy Green Clean– It was really love at first scoop for me with green clean! It works really well against multiple layers of SPF, this is the balm I was travelling with before I discovered the Eve Lom oil capsules. Farmacy have a lot of giftsets that feature a mini green clean, which is great for testing before buying the full size. Farmacy have a lot of variations of Green Clean (scents/flavours lol) but I find the OG Green Clean is the best of them
- Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm– I only started using this cult classic last year and immediately I knew why it was so popular. Oh its good, it removes all traces of makeup with ease. Worth the hype
I’ve used a lot of balms but these 5 are the ones that stood out to me. I do want to try more drugstore cleansing balms too, I have my eye on the Byoma Melting balm cleanser & the Beauty Bay Chamomile & Oat lipid cleansing balm. i would also LOVE to try the cult fav Clinique take the day off. If you have tried these, please let me know how you got on
Have a great day/night/afternoon/morning
