If you’re looking for a new first cleanser, then today’s post will be perfect! Today’s I sharing my thoughts on the Eve Lom Oil Cleansing capsules, a favorite in the skincare community

Eve Lom describe this as Our powerful Cleansing Oil Capsules are made with a fountain of essential Omega fatty acids and the EVE LOM signature blend of botanical oils to dissolve impurities and remove make-up for skin that’s soft and hydrated for up to 12 hours.

Experience

The capsules have been in my arsenal for a while now! Initially I got them for travelling but I started using them at home too. I’ve not experienced any skin irritation with it. I find the capsules very easy to open and use. Ive used a lot of capsules in my day and some are impossible to twist open!

This is a oil cleanser which I only use as the 1st cleanse in my double cleansing routine but it can also be used as your only cleanser in the AM & PM. I have used this to remove heavy makeup, multiple layers of sunscreen as well as day to day makeup & sunscreen, for heavy makeup/sunscreen I use 2 capsules and 1 for day to day dirt, makeup & wear.

The cleanser performs really well as a 1st cleanser. It starts to breakdown makeup/oil/SPF immediately upon contact. It also does really well against mascara and eyelash glue- it takes a few rubs but it gets it off and I use the Kiss waterproof eyelash glue. What I really like about the cleanser is that it emulsifies so easily- even with a little water it turns milky and it rinses well with little to no residue left over! The scent reminds me of a fancy botanical Mayfair spa which I love!. I’m not too sure about the 12 hr. hydrated skin claim, but my skin feels nice after use. There is no oily film left over after rinsing with water but I love to use my makeup remover cloth to remove this before moving unto my 2nd cleanse.

Verdict

I bought this cleanser for travelling, to make more space in my liquid allowance but after it worked so well on holiday, I decided to use it day to day too. Although I prefer cleansing balms to oil because its less messy, this Eve Lom really captured my heart and I would definitely repurchase. It is a bit pricey but I really haven’t seen any other oil cleansing capsules on the market. Of course you can just get a full size product but for travelling these are great! I would love to try more cleansing oils now
