Last month I wrote a post on the best budget friendly brands and products in Boots and it got me thinking, I also love premium/high end skincare too so why not do a follow up post on this? After all there’s more money to lose on higher priced products, the girlies need to know which ones are worth it and ones to avoid! So, this post is exactly that! Let’s get into it

5 of the best premium/ high end products I’ve used
Estee lauder Advanced Night Repair
Now this serum is my holy grail! I’ve been using it for last 2- 3 years consistently. Its not cheap however my hack is to stock up on them when they do their buy one get one free promotion(usually around 11 11 sales, Vals or Mother’s day, 50ml serum only). The 50ml serum comes in at £89 but at least I’m getting 2! Why I love it? Its an all-rounder serum that hydrates, repairs and leaves the skin healthier and glowing. I especially love how it works on tired looking skin which makes it great for travelling and it pairs well with virtually any active ingredient. It’s a staple in my routine.
Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash
I prefer budget face washes to higher priced ones because its simply going down the drain lol but there is something about this Elemis facewash that does it for me. it’s a gentle exfoliating wash that leaves the skin smoother without drying it out. What’s great about this? You can try the travel size for £8 before investing in the full-sized product!
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C serum
I used to be a vitamin c serum queen and I have tried a lot in my day but this one is one of my top ones. It smells great and in addition to 15% Vit c, it also has hyaluronic acid and PHA for hydration and gentle exfoliation. It just works very well, and I love it. Your skin is left hydrated, protected and glowing
Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20
Medik8 is such an amazing brand, there’s a lot of products I love from them, but I choose the Crystal Retinal. If you haven’t moved from retinol to retinal, please make the switch. If it’s between the Medik8 R-Retinoate Intense and the 20, I still choose the 20. The 20 gave me quicker results too and no irritation. If you are new to retinal, please follow Medik8’s guidance, start low and slow!
Tatcha, tatcha TATCHA! I heard a lot of the brand and wanted to try it so I finally took the plunge with the water cream. Its so soft and hydrating it just feels great on the skin and a little goes a long way!. Can we talk about the packaging too? Urgh so pretty! What’s great about Tatcha too is that they have a lot of minis and sets so you can try them at a relatively good price
Ok so lets talk about the 3 worst high end/ premium products I have used. These are very subjective, ok? Please don’t come for me lol
Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk blush and lipstick
The hype surrounding Charlotte Tilbury is REAL. But the hype over the pillow talk line? Jheez. I decided to try the blush and lipstick and I was so disappointed- I gave them both away. They both looked much darker online and the colour payoff on my skin was so poor. That blush was ASHY on me and I even had the intense
Drunk Elephant B hydra serum

Drunk Elephant had a huge moment in the skincare community and the B hydra serum was right there with it. I tried the mini sizes and used as directed. I hated it. It didn’t provide enough hydration and it was just meh. Didn’t get why it was so popular and EXPENSIVE
Augustus Bader The Rich cream
Now this ‘rich cream’ just got on my nerves. I was so lucky to be gifted this because if I spent my hard-earned cash on this I would be so pissed. It did absolutely nothing. I didn’t find it moisturising enough and for its claims I noticed absolutely 0 benefits. I don’t get the hype and the full-sized cream is £225!!! The mini 15ml I was gifted is worth £75! 75! I don’t get the hype
So, guys I hope this post was helpful! Share with me the best high priced products you’ve ever used and why! I might do another post with 5 more good products I have tried! There’s a lot that didn’t make the list.
