Hello everyone, I hope all is well. In today’s post, I will be talking about my favourite peptide serums. Before we get into that, let’s talk about peptides, what they are, what they do, and if you even need them in your routine.

What are peptides?
Peptides are the builiding blocks of your skin. They trigger your skin cells to perform specific functions such as building collagen and elastin, encouraging skin to look and act younger. – From Paula’s Choice website

Do you need peptides in your skincare routine? I personally don’t think its mandatory as long as you have a solid skincare routine: wash, antioxidant serum, sunscreen, moisturiser but its a nice and good addition to your routine.

Favourite Peptides

I added peptides to my routine last year and I have been loving it so far. To be honest these are all the peptide serums I have used so far so I’m listing them in the order that I love them. I’ve had no issues with any of them, they have paired well with my other products. I plan to keep them in routine until further notice

The Ordinary Multi Peptide Serum aka Buffet

Ive finished this serum (in Jan )and I’m looking to repurchase this as soon as possible. This is not only affordable, it also feels hydrating on the skin, my skin looks smoother and I feel like its more resilient. I’ve noticed I had some dynamic lines on my forehead previously and they are almost gone. I’m not sure if its due to the Ordinary’s serum or just the cumulation of the peptide serums or high strength retinols either way I’m very happy about that

Biosannce Copper Peptides

This was my 2nd peptide serum I used and I immediately fell in love with it, so much that I repurchased it straight away. It felt hydrating and nice on the skin and my skin felt stronger

Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster

This was my introduction to peptide serums and made it fell in love with it. Again this felt hydrating and was a good addition to my routine. I love how easy it was to add to my routine and how well it paired with the active ingredients I was using at the time.

Inkey List’s Collagen Peptide Serum
I used this after the Ordinary’s serum and I dont think I like it so much. Every other peptide serum Ive used was hydrating apart from this one. It sinks into the skin quickly and leaves no sticky finish but I found it underwhelming. I wont be repurchasing and I will stick to TO Buffet. My full review is here

Will you be adding peptides to you routine?
