Who doesn’t love a good and BUDGET FRIENDLY PRODUCT? Boots (and Superdrug and lots of online retailers) stock a ton of budget friendly brands but which ones are worth it?

I have tried a lot of these brands and products, and I can narrow it down to a few brands that have consistent effective products at a good price point! They might not have fancy packaging or elegant glass bottles but if a product delivers on its claims, who cares?

These are my top 5 budget friendly brands and the star products that sealed the deal for me

The Ordinary

If we’re talking budget friendly, the ordinary is the GOAT. With purse friendly prices and almost every ingredient, there is something for every skintype and concern. I have tried A LOT of their products and I highly recommend Amino Acid +B5 serum, Salicylic Acid Mask ,Glycolic Acid toner and the very popular buffet serum

The Inkey list

The Inkey list is worth a mention because whilst they carry similar items to The ordinary, they have a few stand out products too. For instance, their Q10 serum? 10/10 and highly recommended for dry skin (and all skintypes)

Loreal

Loreal is on this list because they have a range of skincare with amazing active ingredients and well-rounded formulas. I have used a few products from Loreal but the star product is the Loreal Midnight Serum which is a dupe for the Estee Lauder ANR. It comes in at £30 BUT it’s almost always on half price offer for £14.99 or £19.99. If you want to try, just wait it out!

Garnier

Garnier is a powerhouse brand and does so many products well. I love their cleansers and toners, in particular the Rose toner (dupe for Pixi Rose toner) and the Deep hydrating cleanser (full review coming soon)

Nivea

This list wouldn’t be complete without Nivea. One of my favourite drugstore brands. When it comes to sunscreen, Nivea do it well and my fav sunscreen of all time is the Dry Touch SPF50 mist. 0 white marks, mist formula with a dewy finish! They also have the Vitamin C body lotion I love and the Salicylic acid cleanser I can’t get enough off, read my review of this here! Verdict

There are so many more brands in Boots but I choose brands I’m familiar with and have used 2 or more products from.

I wanted to call this post ‘best drugstore products’ but the term drugstore is a US term and we don’t really call Boots/Superdrug that in the UK lol so I just went with Boots but you can absolutely get these products from cult beauty, Sephora, Lookfantastic (one of my fav online retailers) etc

I hope these can provide some inspiration for your next shop! I may do a follow up post with 5 more brands……( we love options here lol)

Catch you later!
