hihi, I hope all is well. Happy new month! March is here and I’m ready for spring!
Today’s post will be about my experience at the Ivy Asia in Mayfair. This place has been on my food list foreverr and I’m so glad I’m finally crossing it off. lets gooo

The hubby & I went for a lunch date at the Mayfair branch last week. The small plates Asian inspired restaurant is an extention of the ever popular Ivy Cafe chain which I have been to and enjoyed. Ivy Asia as the name suggests is Asian inspired cuisine. Attire- smart causal
Service & Decor
One of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve eaten at and the service was impeccable. We arrived early so we went to the bar to wait whilst our table was prepared. When we were seated, the waiters were attentive and the food was quick( it was lunch time so it was not too busy)
Food & Drinks
AMAZING. If you’ve been to a small plates restaurant, you know the food comes out as its ready but we didn’t really wait long for the 1st dish to come out and subsequent dishes arrived in a timely manner. We got the Prawn Tempura Maki roll, Korean Fried Chicken, Spicy Chicken Satay & the steamed pork bun with 2 mocktails( Rose Orient & Zen Garden). The food & drinks were SO GOOD. I’m not a huge fan of chicken satay but this one? the chicken was succulent with a little heat kick. I’ve had a fair share of prawn tempura maki rolls but I don’t know why this was the best ‘Ive ever had! The pork buns were not my fav but this was more for the hubby and he loved them. I knew I would love the Rose Orient mocktail because its a combo of rose & lychee which I both love, I just didn’t expect to love it that much lol. So when the Korean Fried chicken was served, the waiter told us to first wrap it in the lettuce and dip in the sauce and we were like erm no lol but then we went ahead and did it oh boy – the flavors? YES

Verdict
The Ivy Asia has been on my visit list for ages, and it was so worth the wait. The hubby was so impressed with everything including the maki rolls. Now the hubby is not a sushi fan AT ALL, but for some reason that prawn tempura roll, gave him life LOOL.
The Ivy Asia is highly recommended and can be crossed off the list finally! Excellent for date nights
