For the last 3 years, a salicylic acid(BHA) cleanser has been a staple in my evening routine. It helps with pores, texture and breakouts so for my combo oily skin, it’s a must have.
I came across the Nivea cleanser because another brand reformulated my favourite BHA cleanser and made it rubbish lol so I was on the lookout for something new.

The Nivea Salicylic Acid cleanser promises to reduce blemishes, deeply cleanse and remove excess oil. It has niacinamide in addition to BHA
Experience
This would be my 2nd bottle of the facewash. I use mine every evening, but it can also be used in the mornings too. It comes in a plastic pump bottle.
I use as the 2nd cleanser in my PM routine when I’m wearing makeup or as the 1st if there’s no makeup.
The cleanser foams up well and cleanses without leaving my skin dry. It has a light fragrance. I haven’t had any reactions to it. Does it work? YES. My pores are reduced and my tzone (oilest part of my face) is well controlled. I absolutely love the addition of niacinamide in this wash. My skin does very well with this combo and the ingredients are known to help with blemishes and oil.
Verdict– this is a very good BHA cleanser with the addition of niacinamide to help fight blemishes and control oil. It doesn’t say the percentage of the ingredients on the product or online so if you have extremely oily skin, you should also look into leave on products (serums) to help balance blemishes too. I’m on my 2nd bottle of this and I will repurchase once I run out! At the £4.99 price point, it’s the best one I have tried in this price range. The cleanser is part of Nivea’s Derma Skin clear range.
You can purchase the cleanser in Boots/Superdrug.
