ColourPop’s no filter concealers were the brand’s first venture into complexion products. The 30 shade strong collection come in a ray of undertones and they are only $6. I got these last year when they were doing a 30% off sitewide sale along with some other goodies, check out the post here for swatches!

The concealers promise a natural matte finish and a lightweight blendable texture. It is full coverage and long wearing. They come with your standard flat wand applicator.

Experience

I wasn’t sure of the shades to get even after watching a lot of videos. I decided to go with Dark 52 described as a neutral warm shade and Dark 54 which is a neutral-cool shade for dark skin tones. I went with these shades based on the swatches online, 50 looked like it would be too light but in hindsight, I should have gotten that.

The undertones of the concealer are not my favourite, 52 is more neutral and has a slight bit of pink however I am still able to use it as an under eye concealer albeit it’s not bright. 54 is a bit warm but it’s too dark to use under the eye, maybe I can try this as a foundation in the summer? The concealers are medium coverage and buildable without looking cakey. The finish is a natural matte and they do make the area appear smooth. It sets well with powder and doesn’t crease on me. I really like that they are not extremely matte and they blend really nicely. They do not oxidise but dry just a tad bit darker. They don’t set extremely fast so you have a bit of playtime after application to blend.

Verdict

I do like the concealers and for the price, you can’t go wrong. I would like to try a lighter more golden shade and I am waiting for another offer to get them, I think shade 50 would be a better highlighting shade. They are good drugstore concealers with a good shade range.

Colorpop now offer shipping with custom charges included which is amazing! It took them a while! Now they can work on getting a UK retailer or EU site so we don’t have to wait too long for our parcels.

I would like to try more of the no filter collection. I tried the foundation but gave that away because of the shade, it was too light. I am thinking of getting a darker shade in the stix foundation and the pressed or loose powder

Colourpop no filter concealers are $6 on ColourPop
