Fresh Vitamin C Nectar Glow Face Mask Review

I have been eyeing Fresh face masks for a long time, in particular, the Vitamin C Nectar Glow Face Mask so when my birthday came around and they had just realised the mini masking set, my brother got me the set for my birthday! So far I have used 3 of the 6 mini masks and finished one- Vitamin C Nectar Glow Face Mask.

What the brand says

A brightening and exfoliating face mask powered by natural AHAs in crushed citrus fruits; vitamins C, E, and B5; and revitalising minerals. This skin nutrition mask is jam-packed with fruit—50% orange, lemon, and clementine paste—to refine skin for a healthy, glow-from-within look. Fueled by fresh’s vitamin fruit complex, it does double exfoliating duty: a soft scrub from the citrus paste and a gentle chemical peel from the natural AHAs.

Experience

My mini 15ml mask lasted about 4 applications over my face and neck. I mostly used the mask in my evening routine about once a week.

What I liked: the formula is quite impressive with a combo of Vitamin C E B5 and AHAs to help exfoliate and brighten the skin. it smells of oranges. It rinses away easily and clean

What I didn’t like: so the texture of this face mask is like orange marmalade. I am not the biggest fan of the application method: you have to massage this on and leave on for about 10 mins. This was the mask I really wanted but I am not that impressed with it. it didn’t leave my skin any much smoother or brighter after use. It wasn’t a big difference.

Verdict

I’m a bit disappointed with the mask. This feels like putting orange marmalade on my skin and the results are underwhelming. Its an impressive formula but for me it didn’t do much for my skin.

Fresh Vitamin C Nectar Glow Face Mask is £21 for 30ml on Fresh

The mini set is still available on Cultbeauty or Space NK

Beauty Pie Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial Review

It’s officially a year I finished my Beauty Pie challenge and was introduced to a lot of their products, a lot have been hits while some have been ok. Today’s post is a long-overdue review on their very popular Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial. I’ve had this since I started my challenge and been using it intermittently.

This mask is made with AHAs and pomegranate enzymes to leave the skin feeling super smooth and soft. It helps to prevent and reduce clogged pores leaving the skin clean and smooth.

Beauty Pie Plantastic Micro peeling Super Drops Review

Experience

It seems like BP have updated the formula of this mask to now include salicylic acids (BHA). The version I have doesn’t say it has BHA (on the tube) but the current version has BHAs written on it.

I’ve been using this mask very intermittently, not because it’s not effective but because it’s an acid mask which you use once a week or when needed. The mask has a gel texture which is easy to smooth on the skin. It also has some grit, very fine granules that don’t feel harsh on the skin when rinsing off (it’s quite easy to wash off too). The mask offers two types of exfoliation: chemical exfoliation from the acids and physical exfoliation from the grit. The mask doesn’t sting or ‘burn’ and I haven’t experienced any irritation.

I usually use this in prep for an event or when my skin needs a little boost. Before rinsing, I focus scrubbing (with gentle pressure) on my tzone and chin areas – it’s usually where I get clogged pores. My skin is left smooth and soft.

Verdict

This is a gentle acid-based mask in comparison to a few that I have tried. BP doesn’t state the acid content on the product or online but I really wish they would. It’s a nice to use acid mask, which is effective and doesn’t sting the skin plus you get quick results in a short time.

This reminds me of the Pixi Peel n Polish Mask although that is more gritter and a thicker consistency. If you a member of BP then this would be a dupe in terms of price, if you are not a member, Pixi’s mask works out much cheaper.

In short this is a nice mask and I like it but it’s not a Holy Grail game changing product for me, probably because I have used a lot of similar products which I like better. I don’t think it’s worth the £60 for non-members though but at its member price, it’s a good product.

Beauty Pie Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial is £10 for members on BeautyPie

Estee Lauder PerfectlyClean MultiAction FoamCleanser/PurifyingMask Review

esteelauderperfectlyclean

I have never been a fan of multi-action/use products, I always think it will perform better in one area than the other so I was pleasantly surprised to have fallen in love with this multi-action Foam Cleanser and Purifying Mask from Estee Lauder.

Let’s get into the review!

The Perfectly Clean Collection from Estee Lauder claims, comforts and clarifies your skin to reduce irritation that increases the signs of ageing. Products are formulated with skin-loving botanicals and minerals.

The Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask is suitable for all skin types but ideal for normal/combo skin. It can be used as a daily cleanser or a purifying mask 2x a week.

Experience

As a daily cleanser

I was surprised at how effective this is against all forms of makeup including stubborn mascara. It lathers well and leaves my face squeaky clean! In one wash it, it able to remove most makeup! I love that I am able to use it daily without irritating my skin.

As a purifying mask

I LOVE it as a mask! This was one of the skincare items I took when I was on holiday and it kept my skin in tip top condition and I was in sunny LA and Hawaii! It didn’t break me out and it kept pores at bay. Again it leaves my skin squeaky clean but not drying.

Verdict

For the first time ever I love a multi-action product! It’s effective both ways but I probably love it more as a purifying mask! It’s definitely worth the purchase. I think you will love its effective formula and if Estee Lauder is your fav brand, you should definitely get your hands on this.

Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask is £10 and available from Boots. You can currently get 3 for £25 on premium beauty brands including Estee Lauder.

Dr. Organic Dead Sea Mineral BioPlasma Mud Mask Review

dr organic dead sea mineral bioplasma mud mask

Dr. Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask, what a mouth full! I have been using this mask for the last month and I can finally bring my review to you guys on it! I received this in my February You Beauty Box (Read my review and the other products I got).

Let’s talk about the details of this product. It is free from a lot of chemicals including parabens, SLS, fragrances and harsh preservatives. It also contains a LOT of bioactive natural and organic ingredients like oils e.g. spearmint, wild mint, bitter orange leaf etc, it also has dead sea mineral salt, aloe vera leaf juice and kelp extract. It has clinically tested bioplasma- arginine ferulate. Basically a bunch of really good ingredients. The texture is smooth and smells a bit medicinal to me. It comes in a standard size of 100 ml.

It also says it stimulates new cell regeneration, removes excess oils and impurities whilst penetrating deep into the pores of the epidermis. It has anti-aging and rejuvenating benefits. They recommend you use it twice weekly.

Experience

I didn’t exactly know how the bioactive ingredients would work until I actually used it. After cleansing my face, I apply a thin layer and leave that on for 10 mins. I noticed each time I used it, I felt a slight sensation on my skin. I could actually feel it working. As the mask dries this sensation goes away which was how I knew it was time to wash it off (it doesn’t say this on the pack btw)

After washing it off, my skin feels slightly tender, just slightly but it also feels soft and smooth and my pores appear greatly reduced. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight afterwards either. (I have normal to combination skin).

Verdict– it’s really bio active and does what it says on the tin! The sensation I feel lets me know its working and the combination of ingredients is really good for the skin. All masks are good but mud masks are great for the skin, it detoxifies and draws out all the toxins and impurities leaving your skin refreshed and clean. I definitely recommend incorporating mud into your skincare regime. This one is great because it’s organic and free from nasties. The mask is NOT tested on animals and suitable for vegans or vegetarians.

Dr. Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask is priced at £8.99 and available from Holland & Barret.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask

Hey beaus

So carrying on from my current skincare favs, this post will about the Montagne runny honey mask I told y’all I was eager to try. I finally did and I’m going to tell you all about it! Warning: graphic pictures lol. I tried the manuka honey and vanilla flavour? Scent? Version? I don’t know lol but that’s the one I used. And it worked! I was a bit sceptical on how peel off masks work and if they actually form a film you can peel off. But it worked lol. This smells so good too. I was a expecting a white thick cream consistency but boy was I wrong. It actually looked and smelt like honey! (Duuh Sarah lol) try to not eat it haha

can you see the peelation taking place!!!! I’m a believer!! LOL

So it worked. And I got to peel off my face lol. I don’t actually know if I benefited from it though as in softness, glow etc but I guess a second application will do the trick.

That’s all folks lol. Now I am a firm believer in peel off masks at least this one from this brand. If you are a sceptic like me and you really want to give peel off masks a go, try this one it won’t let you down. You can get them from Superdrug, Boots, Primark and some supermarkets I think

Until next time
