Birthday Spring Summer Skincare Haul

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE

After finishing 79 products in the last 3 months (3 months Empties), my collection has taken a huge hit! I decided to head to LookFanastic and get some new products! I needed to top up my cleansers especially as I am left with 3 travel sizes ones and I wanted some new face masks. Since it was my birthday, I treated myself to a serum I have had my eyes on for a while and some other stuff!

Haul

Nip Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Jelly Mask– this is a repurchase for me. I find this mask pluming and hydrating and easy to incorporate in my routine. The only downside is if you use too much (which I always do) it’s slightly difficult to rinse off.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask– this is a new product in my collection. I’m really loving the Moisture Surge range from Clinique. I think I have used about 3 products in total and I am interested in trying more. I got the travel size mask to test out.

Dermalogica Skin Kit – Normal/Oily– Dermalogica is one of my favourite brands. This kit has 5 travel-sized products and the kit is for normal/oily skintypes. They have a few kits for different skin types. I have tried the Special Cleansing gel and I really love it. I’m looking forward to trying the other products in the kit. I will be bringing you reviews!

Dermalogica PowerBright TRx Treatment Kit– I was really excited to see this kit because I really love the PowerBright collection. I have already used the day and night cream and I really liked them, the serum in the kit will be new to me. I don’t think this set is worth the money. For £37(I got it with a discount code so it was £34), you only get 10ml sizes. The sizes were not stated on the website or the Dermalogica website, otherwise, I wouldn’t have got it. Also, the picture on LookFantastic is incorrect, it shows you will get two serums and the night cream but the set contains 1 day cream, 1 night cream and 1 serum.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correcting– I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on this product so I finally decided to go for it! I’m really excited to try this and will be adding it my routine soon. The serum promises to lighten dark spots in just 4 weeks which is a huge claim. I will be putting this to the test

Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser (50ml) – I’m just about to run out of cleansers so I needed to stock up on them. Am I the only one who doesn’t mind foaming cleansers? I’m looking forward to using this!

I also got a free gift with purchase from Caudalie! I got a cleansing trio which contains the foaming cleanser, detox mask and a face scrub!

Fresh Mini Masks Gift Set– my brother got me this gift set for my birthday! This contains 6 mini sizes of their bestselling masks! As soon as I saw this gift set I knew I wanted it, it has 2 of the masks I have been wanting to try: Rose and Vitamin Nectar. The rest of them sound very good as well I can’t wait!

Dermatica– I picked this up because they had an offer for NHS workers. This is an online dermatology service that provides subscription strength products and expert advice.  This is yet to arrive. I ordered this on 6th April, I’m still waiting for them to send me my approved prescription with ingredient breakdown and ship my item to me. I have a full post on them coming in the next few days but I may delay it till I receive the product.

I will do an updated skincare routine soon. Check out my previous one here. My evening routine is quite difficult to put together as I am constantly rotating items but I will be working on it soon!

Catch you later, I better come out of this lockdown with the best skin ever!

LookFantastic Skincare haul: Skin 2020 update

How’s everyone doing! January has finally needed! Skin 2020 has been in full effect and I can definitely see a difference in my skin already. I did fault one day and slept in my makeup because of an impromptu sleepover (I know I know) but I have fixed it and I really never want to do that again!

Anyway, LookFantastic have a discount code LF20 (for 20% off) so I thought I would get some new stuff I have been eyeing. Here’s what I got and of course there will be reviews coming (follow me on insta as I post shorter reviews there as well)

Farmacy Sweet Dreams Gift set £64

I have been eyeing this since Christmas when I first saw it on Beautylish! I didn’t even know LookFantastic would be carrying it so when I saw it plus the discount I had to get it.  I have started using my honeymoon Glow serum and it’s made a HUGE difference to my skin in terms of texture, I just had to get a backup! This is excellent value for money because you are getting a full-size Honeymoon Glow serum (£55) plus 100ml cleanser (usual size is 150ml for £27) plus a deluxe size of their facial oil

Murad Dark Spot Correcting Starter Kit £30

I am a sucker for a gift set. I love getting mini skincare to test before investing in the full size plus they always double up as travel skincare. Murad is a brand I fell hard for last year and since this set is for hyperpigmentation I decided to try it.

First Aid Beauty LookFantastic Discovery bag £20

Skincare is all about balance. I didn’t want my collection to be full of ‘actives’ like acids and vitamin c’s without any hydrating products. This gift set has a few of their best sellers and mostly hydrating and soothing products

Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop £23

I have been reviewing my skincare and I realised I needed a good Vitamin C and Retinol serum. I got this one after searching through a few others. This popular k beauty product has lots of reviews so I can’t wait to start using it.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation £27

Last year I fell in love with this powder foundation from MAC. It’s my everyday causal foundation I wear to work to even out my skin and help me look more put together. I’ve hit pan and I think I have about 2 weeks left till I completing finish it. A new one was needed.

A mini skincare haul to help me achieve my skin goals this year. I am still searching for a good retinol serum but it’s not urgent for now. I have also decided to do 6-month empties this year (so excited) and monthly favourites on insta, I also may bring some posts here.

How’s your skin journey going?

Catch you later

Collective Haul: Skincare & Makeup

I have been MIA for a while and what better way for a comeback than a Collective Haul ft Skincare & Makeup?!  I have been into skincare lately and I have always been into skincare but this time, it’s a whole new level. Since the addition of acid toners in my routine plus the mini heatwave we experienced this summer, I have stepped up my skincare game! The drugstore has some pretty good, effective and affordable skincare products so I have been trying my hands on some new goodies

First Aid Beauty, for the longest time I wanted to get something from this brand, in particular the two items I got: the Facial Radiance Pads and the Vitamin Hydrating Mist, FeelUnique had a sale on these and I had my £3.95 voucher, add to cart!

1staidbeauty

Mario Badescu Facial Spray & Nyx Dewy Mist– its official, makeup setting sprays are my weakness! This one from Mario Badescu has been on my hit list for a while, I just thought it was more expensive than its actual price, but never looked into it until recently. Nyx Dewy Mist – I must admit, it was a hype purchase because I found out Nyx has a counter in my local Boots and I have a discount card for Boots!

settingsprays

Ben Nye Topaz & Max Blot Powder– I had run out of my pressed powder (Sleek) and wanted something different. I wanted to try the MSF powders from Mac but I wanted something with next to nothing colour. This BLOT powder from Mac is amazing! It has 2% pigment which is next to nothing so it doesn’t add to your foundation – it’s perfect if you don’t like full coverage like myself. It does amazingly well at taking away oil! Ben Nye Topaz has been raved about for a while but I never took any interest in it. My girl from work convinced me, gave me sample then her me her almost new powder because it didn’t suit her well actually she preferred the Sacha Buttercup and the rest is history………………..

powders

Water Sprays- acid toners means neutralisation afterwards and even though my acid toners are not quite strong to require this step I love the feeling of misting my face with fancy water in a can. Caudalie Grape Water & La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water are re purchases. I decided to try the Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water too

watersprays

ColourPop- they finally have international shipping which may not be worth it because you actually have to pay tax. Anyway I got two items from the KaePop collections and two of the satin lips which I actually don’t like

Milani Baked Blushes– even though I wanted my first item from Milani to be their Liquid Lipsticks, I went for the baked blushes. Very shimmery but still nice on

milani

Shea Moisture Mud Mask– ever since I heard of their skincare collection, I have been wanting to dip my hands in them. Living in the UK means I miss out of a lot of goodies but thanks to MyLuxeBeauty, you can get this and other hard to get products here

sheammud

Mielle Organics Mint Oil– my second bottle of this stuff. I love everything about this and it actually works! Finally, eye care samples I got from FeelUnique and the Naturally Brightening eye cream from Superdrug.

eyecreams

I have been loving the Clearly Youth Serum from Superdrug, second purchase and I really love it! Also picked up the Botanics night cream from Boots

That’s all folks! I can’t wait to bring you reviews on these products! Make sure you follow me on Instagram for all the latest products. I am finally on Snap Chat – itssarahfynn
