If you are looking for a new foundation, I got you covered. I decided to start a foundation series over on my Insta page because I realised I have a few foundations and its only best to share which ones work well and have enough shades for dark skin tones! So the challenge I set myself is this, every month (I made a rota guys smh), I stick to using 1 foundation and report back to you guys. I am loving the challenge so far because I am enjoying rediscovering some foundations I had in my collection! Doing this has also shown me how far I have come in selecting better foundation shades & undertones for my skin tone. I am also learning how to work with the shades that aren’t quite a good match but not bad enough to sell or throw away
Anyway, let’s get into it!
For February, I decided to go with the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. I’m in the shade Benares
This was my 1st foundation from NARS and it hasn’t let me down! So much so that I went back for another and I trust NARS completely when it comes to complexion stuff!
Sheer Glow is easily my favourite foundation! Nothing sheer about the coverage, in fact it’s a medium coverage that can easily be built up if needed. Glowing healthy finish, my skin looks smooth and non-cakey. This foundation feels like nothing on the skin! Photographs so well, in fact, it’s the foundation I reach for I know I am going to an event. Below is a picture of me as a bridesmaid at my brother’s wedding last year. It was summer and that day was particularly hot PLUS bridesmaid duties but the Sheer Glow didn’t budge
For a glowing finish foundation, it works really well in the summer! It leaves the skin radiant without looking too oily and works well for my normal to oily combo skin type.
One thing I have noticed about this foundation and shade, it can look orange when first applied( I was scared the very 1st time I used it!) but after it blends in and settles, I believe it adapts to the skin ( I could be wrong!)
The only con is that it doesn’t come with a pump so I bought that separately. You also can’t put the cap back on once the pump is in. sighs
Sheer Glow is available in 33 shades

Guess who is looking at the new NARS foundation?!
Need a setting spray to go with that foundation?
