Best Drugstore Skincare Brands & Their Products

A lot of people fear the drugstore thinking cheaper products are less effective but gurl, I have had a £4 serum beat a £28 serum no shade though! It’s all about knowing which brands and what products to get from those brands. For instance, I love the Deep Cleansing Mask from Simple skincare but hate their Eye Roll on. Let’s get into this post, I am talking about the best drugstore brands and their products.

Garnier

No surprise here, Garnier made it on my list! Really hard to narrow down my fav products from this brand but alas I chose their Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks and the Pure Active Collection in particular, the Face Wash

Simple Skincare

A bit of a hit and miss for me but the brand is good none the less. I love their Deep Cleansing Mask, Night Cream and their Face washes

Superdrug’s Vitamin E Collection

Honestly Superdrug, please do not stop with this collection! if you haven’t already, try their Micellar Water and their Day Cream

B. Pure Skincare from Superdrug

The sensitive Micellar Wipes!

Boots Botanics

I LOVE their Micellar Water! Full stop. It’s effective, it’s amazing and its only £2.50

boots botanics micellar 3 in 1

Nivea

Another popular brand in the drugstore. Their micellar water is great and so is their Regenerating Night Cream

I haven’t tried anything from Olay after a very bad experience with them 4 years ago maybe I might try them again next year (oh wait that’s in 6 days!)

L’Oréal

Their new expert face masks in particular, the Glow Mask. I also love their Micellar water.

Nip Fab

I was a bit harsh on their Daily Fix Glycolic Pads but I realise now that 2% glycolic acid is good for the day time so you are more exposed to the sun. Their extreme pads have 5% glycolic so are better for people that want a higher % of acid

The Body Shop

The Vitamin C & E face mists are amazing! Their new face masks too, in particular, the Himalayan charcoal mask

That’s all folks! Let me know if I missed your fav brand and product! I am always on the hunt for trying new products.  If you are in search of a particular product e.g. face washes check out my previous posts

NEW! Garnier Moisture Bomb Skincare collection

garnier time bomb

Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing great! You guys seem to love my NEW series where I bring you the latest product releases from some of your favourite companies! I will keep them coming

Today’s post is no different, Garnier (did you see what they sent me in the Exclusive Beauty Bloggers Pack? Find out here!) is probably one of the best drugstore brands when it comes to skincare and one of my top 5 skincare brands too! Their products are always effective and well-priced and almost always on offer in Superdrug. Read my review on the Pure Active range here

I have been seeing adverts for their latest collection: Moisture Bomb which looks like it’s been catered for dry skin types. So far there are only two products in the range: 3 in 1 day cream and Night gel cream

3 in 1 Day Cream; said to provide deep hydration up to 5 skin layers, provide UV protection (SPF 10) and smooth the skin. They also describe the texture as soft, light weight, non-greasy and silky with a refreshing scent.

What I am really liking about this is the packaging: it comes in a pump bottle and you don’t see that every day in the drugstore!

Night Gel Cream- apparently features water break textures (inspired from Asia) for the ultimate hydration experience! It replumps and provides 72hr moisture while you sleep.

Ingredients; the main ingredients in this collection are Pomegranate and Alma which both have antioxidant benefits for the skin. Pomegranate provides excellent moisture benefits whilst the Alma works to protect the skin from oxidative stress

Both products are priced at £7.99 and are available from FeelUnique and Superdrug. I am really hoping they expand this range soon with a face wash and mask!

The product junkie in me wants to buy this but I have so many products in my arsenal I am trying to finish everything before I buy new ones! My goal this year is to try and finish everything without getting new products( impossible I know) but so far so good ( actually I bought 2 lipsticks from Colour Pop but come one COLOUR POP in the UK I just had to ok). I been tempted though urgh and since it’s my birthday month ( EPIC giveaway coming soon) hmm and I also have a list of brands I want to try this year LOL
